If you'd like to convert your exported Requirements Center into a more editable version in Excel, please follow these steps.
- Export the desired file for the Requirements Center tool
- Open an Excel file
- Click on the Data tab, then select get data "From Text/CSV" option
- Select the exported Requirements file
- Select COMMA as the Delimiter, "Based on entire dataset" for Data Type Detection, then click Load
- Close the newly opened side panel
- Save the file as an .xlsx
**Additional Guidance**
The CSV file format is a flexible format that allows for interoperability with other software and tools. By default, CSV files do not include any formatting.
The instructions provided above are for importing the file into Excel format. Once the file is in this format, you can apply additional formatting, as well as organize and sort the data as needed.
For quickly transforming URLs into hyperlinks, you have two options:
1. For ad hoc needs, simply double-click the cell with the URL and press Enter. This action will automatically convert the URL into a clickable hyperlink.
2. For a more comprehensive reformatting, create a new column and enter the formula `=HYPERLINK()` while referencing the column where the URLs are located. This will generate a hyperlinked URL for each record in that column.
